ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I love color. I like the way one color sings next to another, or goes dead against the next. Color makes me happy, or sad. It envelops me, or sends me away. Color belts an aria, or whispers a lullaby. Color is why I paint.
I love light. There is nothing without light, just the darkness and darkness is not very interesting in paint – not by itself, not without light. Light is what I paint.
So, it’s color and light. I have mastered neither. Beyond that, I have no message, except maybe that which will reveal itself through my subconscious.
